Scripture Journaling is a 5-week, hands-on workshop and will cover four methods of scripture journaling (one each week).  The dates of the class will be August 30-September 27.  There are many easy, creative variations that we will explore and a free journal and pen will be provided for each participant.  If you’d like, bring your daily devotional of a list of favorite verses.

Beginning October 4 will be a class on Lee Strobel’s Exploring Christianity’s 10 Toughest Questions.

Note that due to social distancing requirements, we need a larger room, so this class will now be held downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. There are 20 chairs set up with appropriate separation, and there is a TV already in the room to play the DVDS. Please click this link to sign-up to join by Zoom if you prefer to attend remotely.

The second adult class on Mere Christianity is meeting in the Koinonia Chapel in order to accommodate social distancing. It will not be livestreamed at this time.

Monthly Prayer Time

Our special prayer times will continue, with two opportunities for group prayer.  We will meet at 11:15 a.m., on the first Tuesday of each month and at 11:45 a.m. on the last Sunday of each month.  Please join us as we pray for the world, our nation, and personal concerns.

5 Day Bible Reading Program

Join the congreation as we read through the Bible in 2020. Below is a resource to help you read through the Bible daily and engage with God. Click this link for your Bible Reading Program.

Tuesday Morning Bible Chapter Study - in person and Zoom

We meet every Tuesday from 10:00 am until 11:30 am in the room adjoining the pastor's study.  In June, we are studying of the Gospel of James. Our attendance averages 6-10.  We usually cover two chapters each week. Our procedure is to read the Bible text, consulting footnotes in our Bibles for clarification, and have lively discussions of how the message applies to everyday situations we encounter. We end with a brief time of prayers of gratitude and for needs requested by those present. The Bible is our sole textbook and there is no homework for this class. We study and learn together. Come join us at any time, whether you are a Bible scholar or new Christian. You will be warmly welcomed by the group.

An online/Zoom Inquirers/New Members Course will be offered in September for anyone who would like to learn more about the Christian faith and history, Woodland Presbyterian Church, and the EPC (Evangelical Presbyterian Church denomination).  If you are interested in participating, please contact the church office (360-225-8941).  Once we have compiled a list, I will contact you to determine the best day and time to run this four-week class.
