Breakfast Before Sunday School!!!
Breakfast is now being served in the Narthex beginning at 8:45 AM for both Sunday School classes. Please plan to come a few minutes early to eat either in the Glass Chapel or take your breakfast with you to your Sunday School class. Sunday School classes will continue to meet at 9 AM in both the Adult Sunday School room and the Ethel Goerig Room (conference room). There is also a sign-up sheet available if you would like to provide something for the breakfast each week.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL-meets in the Adult Sunday School Room

We are embarking on a new study that focuses on prayer for Lent. Timothy Keller and the pastors at Redeemer Presbyterian Church preach a series of sermons on the psalms and prayer in a video series titled “A Journey Through Lent”. This series will lead us through a season of reflection and repentance in preparation for Easter Sunday. The selected psalms address the reality of our broken humanity and recognize the world is not as it should be. However, the prayers point to the end of the story – Easter Sunday and the ultimate restoration of all things. Teaching is shared and rotated between Sally Hager, Mike Ferguson and Richard Benney. Please join us on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in the Adult Sunday School Classroom.

New! Adult Sunday School Class-meets in the Ethel Goerig Room
We are offering a second adult class. This class will explore C.S. Lewis' classic book: Mere Christianity. Lewis' purpose in this book is to present fundamental Christian beliefs that connect us as believers-what unites us, rather than what separates us. In 2006, Mere Christianity placed third in Christianity Today's list of the most influential books among evangelicals since 1945. This 8-session video study will prepare us to thoughtfully share our faith with anyone who asks "for the reason for the hope" that we have in Christ. Join us on Sunday at 9 AM.

Monthly Prayer Time

Our special prayer times will continue, with two opportunities for group prayer.  We will meet at 11:15 a.m., on the first Tuesday of each month and at 11:45 a.m. on the last Sunday of each month.  Please join us as we pray for the world, our nation, and personal concerns.

5 Day Bible Reading Program

Join the congreation as we read through the Bible in 2019. Below is a resource to help you read through the Bible daily and engage with God. Click this link for your Bible Reading Program.

Tuesday Morning Bible Chapter Study-

We meet every Tuesday from 10:00 am until 11:30 am in the room adjoining the pastor's study.  We are  beginning the study of the Gospel of Matthew in December. Our attendance averages 6-10.  We usually cover two chapters each week. Our procedure is to read the Bible text, consulting footnotes in our Bibles for clarification, and have lively discussions of how the message applies to everyday situations we encounter. We end with a brief time of prayers of gratitude and for needs requested by those present. The Bible is our sole textbook and there is no homework for this class. We study and learn together. Come join us at any time, whether you are a Bible scholar or new Christian. You will be warmly welcomed by the group.

Junior Church Program
We will continue to have Bible club at 9 a.m. for all children in the Marge Taylor room. Nursery care will be provided beginning at 8:45 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. for infants through age 4. Junior church will now be for children ages 4 to 9 years. Children ages 9 and up will now stay in the service, but will have an activity sheet to complete that goes along with the sermon. They will be turning in their completed sheet to Pastor Kevin, and there may be some surprises for them. We are looking for more volunteers to help with our junior church as we have some volunteers taking a break. We will have a curriculum to follow so that all you need to do is teach the lesson. Please contact CE chair Liz Hover if you are able to help with this ministry.

Prayer Journaling
Those intereted in prayer journaling will be gathering weekly in the Ethel Goerig Room (conference room) on Thursday mornings at 9:30 AM. This will be a time for sharing ideas, discussing the "how to's," and exploring creative ways to help you grow in your quiet time and personal relationship with God through journaling. All are welcome! First-time participants will receive a free journal along with some handouts to help you get started.

If you are interested in prayer journaling during the Friday Night Prayer Service, contact Sherry Bozorth.
